Community Steps Up To Support Oakland Mills Honor Student Struck By Drunk Driver

A community is stepping up to support an Oakland Mills High School boy who has been in a coma for several weeks after he was hit by a car while riding his bike, states GoFundMe.

Alex Morales was tragically struck by a drunk driver while on his bike in Jessup on Tuesday, Aug. 2, according to the fundraiser.

The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) honor student has been in a coma ever since the tragic accident, and the community is stepping up to help support him and his family as medical costs continue to climb daily.

In less than 24 hours, the Baltimore community raised nearly $13,000 to help support the family of the wrestling team captain.
